A team is on single file jogging on a moderate pace. The last man on the line has to sprint to the head of the line. The person at the very end of the line, sprints up to the top of the line. The pace the team is jogging at, shouldn’t change. After a set interval, maybe ten seconds, the last man on the line sprints forward to the head of the line. Your team finishes when each have had their sprint to the head of the line.

Indian Run Using Medicine Ball

A team is one single file jogging at a moderate pace. The man at the front who is carrying a medicine ball, must pass it off to the person behind him. The person with the ball does this by lifting the ball above his head and the person next to him has to get the upraised ball. The goal is to get the ball passed to the last person in line. The exercise is repeated by the last man sprinting to the start of the line. When each team member has sprinted to the line’s head, it is finished.

The Twenty-one down workout

This could be any reasonable large number but the idea is to do 21 pushups followed by 21 crunches. The first set, each person does twenty-one push-ups and crunches, and the second set, they do twenty, and the third, nineteen, all the way down to one push-up and one crunch. If the groups fitness level needs it, adjust the starting number.

The Piggyback ride and squat

In any grass field, find a partner. A partner carries his pair on his back (piggyback) to the center of the field. A selected number of squats are then done in the middle of the field by the carrying partner. After your done, continue to walk the rest of the field, switching off at the other end.

These exercises don’t have to be done on the same day. The piggy back ride and squats could be done on one day. The team could do the running exercises(The Indian Run or the Medicine Ball Run) on other days. Separate the more fit people into a team that can do more sets, and the less fit people to do smaller sets.

After each drill is finished take a rest. Get plenty of water during this time. A good thing about these exercise routines, is the enjoyment they can bring to the workout. The result of working together and camaraderie will be increased as these exercises are used in team building.
