Bodybuilding For
Youth and Youth weighlifting
People should not start
bodybuilding at too young of an age because their bones are not
fully done growing yet. If they begin bodybuilding at too early
of an age, they have a good chance of getting injured.
Mid-teenage years is a pretty good age to start bodybuilding or
working out.
Some of the psychological benefits of
weight training in
youths are they want to look good and impress their
friends. Other psychological benefits of weight training in
youths are listed below. Teenage bodybuilding or youth weight
training is very common nowadays because kids want to look big,
buff, and intimidating so they can show off to all their
friends. It also gives them the self satisfaction that they
look good too. Teenage bodybuilding should start by figuring
out a routine that will help them accomplish their fitness
goals, whether it is to lose of gain weight. Bodybuilding routines will vary from person to
person based their goals. You have to find what works for
you.
Youth bodybuilding /
weight lifting should start out with workouts that get them
used to the machines they are using. It would technically be
more considered as toning because they will be using light
weight and more reps. The optimum amount of reps and sets can
very but a good place to start is around 10 reps per set for 3
sets about three to four times per week. This will give them a
good foundation to youth weightlifting.
Once they learn all the different
weightlifting exercises, they can increase or decrease the reps
based on personal preference or if they want trim or build
muscle. If you want to build muscle, increase the weight and do
fewer reps per set. On the opposite end, if you want to trim
muscle or get toned, you should decrease weight and while doing
more reps per set. Bodybuilding for youth though should be
taken with caution and should have a spotter at all times while
they are training.
Youth weight training can
have good or harmful effects if they do not pay attention to
what they do. As we all know there are weight lifting programs
for youth football when the kids get into high school. These
football players have to be strong in order to be able to take
the hit from there opponents. So there are some exceptions.
They should not try to be bulking up with a ton of muscle in
early teenage years because that will give them physical
problems down the road. Rather they should be trying to get a
muscle foundation but just doing an average amount of reps and
sets per workout so they do not injure their bodies. Youth
bodybuilding is a great activity though for young boys in their
teenage years because it gives them something to do for a
couple hours out of a day.
